Hi, I’m Georgina

I am the Operational Engagement Officer at SNaP Youth.

I have worked as a Secondary School English Teacher for 6 years. I recognise just how important it is for young people to have something to do outside of school and have access to making new and different friendships.

I grew up in South Normanton and attended the Frederick Gent School, but it was kickboxing that truely inspired me to become a teacher. I just loved coaching and seeing people achieve great things!

Since then, I took over as Instructor at Rok-Ard Kickboxing (based in South Normanton) and I am really keen to support young people to be ambitious and believe in themselves, through my role as Operational Engagement Officer. My goal is to help young people to find who they are and give them opportunities to develop an array of skills needed in our society.

Food- Pad Thai is my favourite food.

After a trip to Thailand I became obsessed with eating Pad Thai. I don’t get to eat it all of the time, but that just makes it even more special when I do have it!

Fun fact- I’ve met Tyson Fury and had my photo taken with him. I even showed him a photo of when I dressed up as him for a fancy dress party!
