SNaP Youth is a registered charity delivering youth provision to young people aged 10-17 years since 2004. Based on the High Street in South Normanton, SNaP Youth was developed in recognition to the importance of providing young people with a safe place to meet friends, something to do that’s developmental and challenging and someone to talk to who is genuinely interested.

The foundation of the charity is based on supporting young people to realise their full potential and inspiring them to achieve. This happens by offering youth provision on 4 evenings a week, 48 weeks a year from the SNaP YOUTH CLUB and through the detached street based programmes and sport provision that the team facilitate in the local community.

The youth provision offered by SNaP Youth offers a huge range of needs-led activities. There’s something for everyone, including cooking, creative arts, media workshops, dance and drama, challenges and team games.

In addition, the youth work team offer a wide range of day time support for young people who may have lost their way a bit or are struggling to make the transition away from school life. With a holistic approach of mentoring activities, learning and training workshop, life skills and volunteering opportunities, the workers ensure that the social, emotional and developmental needs of the individual are supported and developed so that they feel ready to progress.

SNaP Youth is managed by a team of qualified youth workers who support and guide young people. The youth workers want the very best for young people and as a result develop special projects to ensure they get the opportunities to learn new skills, build up their confidence and think about their future life plan.
